Forest School

As Beaudesert is set in the most beautiful location, high in the Cotswolds and surrounded natural woodland, we have our own Forest School.

All the children, from Nursery to Year 2 explore and experience the natural world through practical activities in all seasons. Children grow in confidence and self-esteem and these benefits have positive effects on all areas of a child’s life and learning.

Forest School allows children to enjoy an outdoor education within a safe and stimulating environment, and gives children the opportunity to take risks, make choices, and initiate learning themselves. All activities are child led and are implemented with the support of our two qualified Level 3 Forest School Leaders.

  • Forest School Leader Stasia sits on a log with children. She has a Peter Rabbit puppet in her hand as she talks to the children. Two children sit on the log with her in green tracksuits and wellies.
  • A fire in a metal container in a woodlands.
  • A child in red overalls sits on the top of a tyre swing, swinging from side to side. Another boy sits underneath inside the tyre swing, looking towards the camera.
  • A child in a yellow waterproof coat sits amongst a carpet of green saplings. Other children sit behind her as she listen to a teacher off camera.
  • A boy and girl in blue overalls crouch down next to a white tray filled with pond water. The boy points at something in the water. They are standing on a pond decking.
