In the Prep School, boys and girls take part in team sports fixtures throughout the year against other schools.
Children are coached in these sports twice a week, with fixtures often taking place on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Rugby
Rugby is the major sport in the Autumn Term. The children are introduced to the game through tag in Year 3 before progressing to full contact by Year 4. The School follows the rugby continuum as prescribed by the RFU. All children are provided with the opportunity to take part in inter-school fixtures, and many Rugby 7s tournaments feature in our calendar.
Football
Football is the main focus at the end of the Autumn Term and the first half of the Spring Term. Years 3, 4 and 5 continue football into the second half of the Spring Term as well.
Hockey
After Half Term boys in Years 6, 7 and 8 go on to play hockey in preparation for senior school life. There are also some opportunities for children in Years 3, 4 and 5 to play hockey in Games sessions.
Cricket
In the Summer Term, all boys play cricket through a variety of mediums from pairs through to full matches. The children benefit from excellent pitches and a new state-of-the-art all-weather net area.
Tennis
In the Summer Term, all boys play tennis in PE and occasional games sessions. Some children are selected for tennis fixtures, and private coaching sessions after the school day can be arranged.
Hockey
Hockey is the main sport for girls in the Autumn Term. The School has been successful at county level, and regularly produces county standard players. All children from Year 3 up to Year 8 have the opportunity to take part in school matches.
Netball
Netball is played in the Spring Term, and the School has enjoyed considerable success in this area in recent years. Younger children progress through High5 to the full game and opportunities are provided for further development through the county satellite programme.
Football
Football has recently been introduced for the girls in the second half of the Spring Term. Girls have the opportunity to train in games sessions and fixtures/festivals have begun to be introduced.

Tennis
In the Summer Term, all girls play tennis in PE and occasional games sessions. There are some tennis fixtures arranged on normal match days and some children are selected for additional tennis fixtures. Private coaching sessions after the school day can be arranged.
